Turn on the recorder.
Press

Select the deck.
Press HDD or S-VHS.
● For the VHS deck:
Insert a cassette with the record safety tab intact.

Access the Navigation screen.
Press NAVIGATION.
● The Navigation screen corresponding to the selected deck
appears.
● For the VHS deck:
When “NAVIGATION” is set to “OFF” (

Navigation screen does not appear.

Select the programme.
Press
w e
to move the arrow to select one programme
you want to modify, then press
t
or OK.
E
Access the modify screen.
A Press
w e
to move the arrow to “MODIFY”, then press
OK.
B Press
w e
to move the arrow to “MODIFY INDEX”,
then press OK. The “MODIFY INDEX” screen appears.
F
Register new index.
● When you press OK with the arrow on “RETURN” you can
return the previous screen.
G
Return to the normal screen.
Press NAVIGATION.
● For the VHS deck:
Press 8 to cancel pause mode after pressing NAVIGATION.
NOTE:
The Navigation systems cannot work during recording on the
HDD deck or in SAT
# mode (

A Search for the picture
from the programme by
pressing the appropriate
buttons (

4
,
5
, or
9
). The pictures of the
programme appear on the
left window.
B Confirm the arrow is on
“REPLACE”, then press
OK to register new index.
New index appears on the
right window.
