14 Getting Started
Assembly
Before you can use your phone, you need to:
1 Install your SIM card and lock it in place.
2 Attach and charge your battery.
3 Put your back cover on.
Installing Your SIM Card
Insert the SIM card by doing the following:
1 Unlock the SIM card slot by sliding
the plastic bar up toward the top of
the phone.
2 Turn the phone upside down and
the SIM card slot will unhinge
allowing you access to the SIM
card holder.
3 Slide the SIM card into the slot
formed by the plastic holders.
Make sure that the notch is in the
top right corner of the SIM card
holder. Fold the SIM holder down
flush against the phone.
4 Lock the SIM card in place by
sliding the plastic bar toward
the bottom of the phone until you
hear a click.
Note! Be sure to use only a Sony Ericsson lithium
polymer battery that is listed as compatible with
your mobile phone. Using batteries that are not
compatible with your specific mobile phone
will void your warranty.
Note! Always turn off the phone and detach the
charger before you insert or remove a SIM card.
Note! Insert the SIM card and charge the battery
before using the phone.
Note! Never use your phone with the front or back
cover removed.
