To install the cutterhead guard:
1.
Slide the cutterhead guard shaft down
through the mounting hole on the table.
Note—
The guard may not fully seat in the
hole initially; however, rotating the guard will
allow the shaft to fully seat in the hole.
2.
Using a 2.5mm Allen wrench, thread the
setscrew through the hole in the forked end
of the cutterhead guard shaft (
Figure 17
).
Note—
Thread the setscrew far enough to
prevent the guard from being pulled out.

12mm Wrench or Socket ............................1
To install the V-belt guard:
Using a 12mm wrench, secure the V-belt guard
over the cutterhead pulley and V-belt with the hex
bolt and flat washer (
Figure 18
).

NOTICE
The cutterhead guard must always return to
the closed position whenever it is moved.
Repeat steps 1-3 until this occurs.
3.
Raise the fence and rotate the guard one
revolution counter-clockwise as it appears
from the top. Hold the guard in position.
4.
Lower the fence and allow the guard to swing
back against the fence.
