configuration wizard the next time you turn
on the device.
Adjusting the Display

Select MODE > Settings > System >
Display.

Select an option:
• To set the amount of time
the backlight stays on, select
Backlight Timeout�
Use a short backlight setting to
conserve battery power.
• To set the amount of screen
contrast, select Contrast.
Map Settings
Select MODE > Settings > System >
Map.
• Orientation
◦ North Up—orients the map with
North at the top of the screen.
◦ Track Up—orients the map with
your direction of travel at the top of
the screen.
• User Locations—displays locations
on the map.
• Show Map—displays the map as part
of the MODE page loop.

The Forerunner uses information that you
enter about yourself to calculate accurate
data. You can modify the following user
profile information: gender, age, weight,
and height.
