Clutch/trans-brake switch input: This input must be a +12 volt switched input that applies +12 volts to the
Micro Storm when the device in on. This input can’t be used to directly connect to the clutch position sensor
(CPP) found on newer vehicles that is a variable 0-5 volt signal. In these applications you will need an external
module to convert the CPP signal to a switched output. The Lingenfelter CTAP-001 clutch and throttle
activation position switch module (L460190108) can be used to perform this function.
Nitrous and Fuel Solenoids: The MS-001 can be used in wet or dry nitrous systems. In wet systems the
nitrous and fuel solenoids for each stage are pulsed at the same rate and controlled by the same output wire.
If you are using only a single stage of nitrous, you can choose to have the fuel controlled by the second
output stage and then you can control the fuel percentage, ramp and delay independent of the nitrous.
External timing retard activation: The Relay Output (purple wire) and the Timer function (22 & 23) on the
MS-001 can be used to activate the timing retard feature of the Lingenfelter LNC-2000, LNC-2001 and LNC-
2014 along with other timing retard devices.
Set the timer to when you want the timing retard to activate. In most applications this would be as soon as
the nitrous becomes active so you would set the timer to 0. See page 14 for an example wiring diagram
showing how to connect the MS-001 to the LPE LNC-2000, LNC-2001 or LNC-2014 for timing retard.
