Step 7. Assemble the other control rod and lockout
lever to the pivot lever on the lower Left Hand
side of the mower with ferrule and washer.
Assemble the lockout lever to the upper han­
dle with washer and nut as shown in figures
18 and 19.
NOTE
With the blade lockout lever in the dis­
engaged position, adjust the rod in the
ferrule so that there is just enough
resistance to hold the blade lockout lev­
er in place.

1. Figure 20 shows throttle control in the STOP posi
tion. Throttle should remain in this position any
time the unit is not in use or when any mainte­
nance is being performed.
Figure 22 shows lockout lever in the OFF position
(Disengaged) lever all the way up. Lockout levers
must remain in this position when starting.
