Host Adapter
Configuration
AHA-1510A/20A Series host adapters are designed to operate as
shipped in most ISA-bus and EISA-bus computer systems.
This chapter explains the default and optional settings for the
AHA-1510A/20A Series host adapter. You will learn when to change
the default settings and how to do so.
Some AHA-1510A/20A Series configuration parameters, such as
SCSI ID and termination, are pre-set at the factory. These default set-
tings are listed on page 2-3. Most of the configuration parameters are
set with onboard jumpers. Some AHA-1510A parameters are set
with jumpers, and some are set with command line switches in the
config.sys
file.
Caution:
You should not change the default jumper set-
tings unless you thoroughly understand the conse-
quences of the change.
