Care of the Housing
Should you scratch the stainless steel surface, you can usually buff it out with a “Scotchbrite” pad, rubbed
in the SAME DIRECTION as the grain.
Fuel Level Quick Check
If the CoolSmoke stops providing fog be sure the Polarity Lamp is ON and either the Foot Switch or the
Timer Switch is ON. If there is still no smoke, try the following:
Place the CoolSmoke on the bench, the front facing you. Tilt it 45 0 away from you and press the Foot
Switch for 5 seconds. If fog is available in this position, the fuel charge is very low or depleted. It is time
to refi ll.
The CoolSmoke refi lls are available from Ferret Instruments, or your local jobber.
Refi lling the Fuel
The CoolSmoke does not need to be fi lled completely to operate. Top it up 2 to 3 ounces at a time only,
then try operating it. Once it provides fog again, add no more fuel. Store the remainder until it’s needed,
then order a spare refi ll kit.
If you overfi ll the CoolSmoke, the unneeded fuel will be expelled from the smoke output port.
