Provides additional light to improve
picture-taking.
2 Self-Timer/Focus
Assist light (see
page 59)
Blinks during Self-Timer or Self-Timer -
2 shots countdown, or in low light
situations when Focus Assist is on. Also
turns on briefly when a picture is taken.
3 Microphone (see
page 34)
Records audio clips that are attached to
still images and video clips.
4 Tripod mount Allows you to mount the camera on a
tripod.
5 Cradle mount Allows you to connect the camera to the
cradle or dock, providing access to AC
power and USB connectivity.
6 Battery/Memory
card door (see
pages 14, 18)
Allows access to insert and remove the
battery and an optional memory card.
