Focus Assist Light
Sometimes in low-light situations, the camera uses the focus
assist light to aid in focusing. This setting allows you to turn
off this light (for example, when you do not want the focus
assist light to distract the subject of your picture).
The default Focus Assist Light setting is Auto.
1. In the Setup Menu (see
page 113), select Focus Assist
Light.
2. Use the
buttons to highlight
a setting.
3. Press
to save the setting and
return to the Setup Menu.
NOTE: HP recommends leaving this setting at Auto. Turning
it off hinders the camera from focusing correctly in low
light.
The new setting remains in effect until it is changed again,
even when you turn the camera off.
NOTE: Focus Assist Light is set to Off in Theatre mode.
