INSTALLING USB DRIVER
Use the following procedure to install the USB driver:
1
If you add a USB card (PCI card, PC card, etc.) on
your PC, do it following the instruction manual
for USB card, before connecting the DVD video
camera/recorder to PC.

Insert the provided CD-ROM into PC, set the
power switch of DVD video camera/recorder to
“
VIDEO“, and then use the provided PC
connection cable to connect the DVD video
camera/recorder to the USB terminal of PC.

The Hardware Wizard will start: Choose “Install
from a list or specific location (Advanced)”, and
then click “Next” (a figure will appear when
Windows
®
XP is used).

Choose “Search for best driver in these
locations”, check “Include this location in the
search:”, and then specify the folder to be
browsed:
With Windows ® XP / 2000 Professional:
D:\USB2\Win2kXp
With Windows ® Me:
D:\USB2\WinMe
With Windows ® 98 Second Edition:
D:\USB2\Win98
( D: shows the name of drive into which the CD-
ROM is inserted.)
