NOTE:
When you create a new color preset or modify an existing preset, the changes will appear in the
OSD menu options.
HP Display Center supports a wide range of measurement instruments. These instruments allow you to
recalibrate your monitor as it ages and create or modify color presets. The measurement instruments
that are supported for your monitor are:
–
X-rite i1Display Pro colorimeter
–
X-rite i1Pro color spectrophotometer
–
Klein Instruments K10-A colorimeter
–
UPRtek MK550T or MD100N spectrophotometer
NOTE:
You must install the instrument drivers on your computer to ensure correct operation.
You can also create or modify presets without the use of a measurement instrument by using HP DreamColor
technology. These calibrations will be as accurate as the factory calibrations, which were made using a high-
end spectrophotometer.
Color presets
This section defines the factory-calibrated color space presets.
NOTE:
You can adjust luminance above or below the target luminance for each color space while
maintaining the accuracy of the primaries and the white point.

RGB Gain Adjust
In some cases, you might have to adjust the gain of one or more of the RGB channels to visually match
another display or display device.
You make these gain adjustments after you complete the color-calibration process of the display hardware.
RGB gain adjustments are downstream of the monitor's color engine and provide 10-bit precision.
Changing the Power Mode setting
This section describes how to activate Performance mode. Certain features on your monitor might require
Performance mode to be active.
