Select Input from the OSD menu to access these input options:

Auto-Switch Input: Monitor scans all inputs (DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB Type-C) to find an active input.
●
DP Hot-Plug Detection: Options for this setting are Low Power (default) or Always Active: If your
monitor is not waking quickly out of Sleep state, change this setting to Always Active.
●
Hot-Plug Initiate: Options for this setting are No (default) or Yes.
NOTE:
If you are running macOS®, change this setting to Yes, and the ColorSync software
automatically updates its configuration when you change color presets.
●
DisplayPort Mode: Change this setting from DisplayPort 1.4 to an older version of the connection, such
as DisplayPort 1.2 or DisplayPort 1.1, for compatibility with older graphics cards.
NOTE:
If you are multistreaming monitors, the DisplayPort Mode must be set to DisplayPort 1.4 or
DisplayPort 1.2. DisplayPort 1.1 mode is not compatible with multistreaming.

USB-C MST Configuration: Select the maximum supported multistreaming (MST) configuration for your
second monitor (connected to the DisplayPort Out connector.
NOTE:
A higher vertical refresh rate will require a lower USB speed. A lower vertical refresh rate allows
for a higher USB speed.
Color management
The monitor includes both standard and user-definable color space settings to support a variety of customer
uses.
Color spaces are precalibrated at the factory. You can modify or recalibrate them in HP Display Center. Up to
seven color presets can be stored in the display. Calibration includes control of the monitor's color gamut,
RGB primaries, gamma, and luminance.
NOTE:
The Low Blue Light color selections cannot be modified or recalibrated.
HP Display Center
HP Display Center is a software application that runs on your computer.
If you are using Windows, HP Display Center software automatically downloads and installs after you connect
your HP DreamColor monitor. If you are using macOS, you can download the software from the App Store™.
Using this software you can:

For HP Display Center to calibrate your DreamColor monitor, you must connect both a DisplayPort or
HDMI video cable in addition to a USB cable between the source device and the monitor unless your computer
has a USB Type-C connector. See
Connecting the cables on page 9
for more information on connecting various
types of cables to your monitor.

Create a new color preset (up to three additional color presets) or modify an existing color preset. In
both cases you can define the color preset by either the type of work you are doing and the brightness of
your work space or by choosing from standards-based selections for range of colors (gamut), gray scale
response (gamma/EOTF), color of white (white point), and luminance.
●
Create a simulation of a collection of popular phones and tablets. This list will expand as new phones
and tablets are released.
●
Recalibrate a preset to compensate for panel aging.
