3.2 12GB/s MegaRAID SAS RAID Controller Characteristics
The following table shows the general characteristics for all 12Gb/s MegaRAID SATA+SAS RAID controllers.
Each 12Gb/s MegaRAID SATA+SAS RAID controller ensures data integrity by intelligently validating the compatibility
of the SAS domain. The 12Gb/s MegaRAID SATA+SAS RAID controllers use Fusion-MPT architecture, which allows for
thinner drivers and better performance.
J1B2 Cache write pending header 2-pin connector.
Connector for an LED mounted on the system enclosure. The LED
indicates that the data in the cache has yet to be written to the
storage devices.
J1B3 LSI Test header 2-pin connector
Reserved for LSI use.
J1B4 On-board Serial Universal Asynchronous
Receiver/Transmitter (UART) connector 4-pin connector
Reserved for LSI use.
J2B4 Standard edge card connector The interface between the RAID controller and the host system.
Along with the PCIe interface, this connector provides power to the

C bus for the Intelligent
Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
J4A1 CacheVault Flash Module (ONFI) interface 80-pin connector
Connects the RAID controller to a flash module.
