About This Manual
Purpose
This manual is written to help you understand and use the Access Control Management Station (ACMS)
application. It presents the functional capabilities and operational details of ACMS and contains the
procedures that one should know for performing business tasks using this application. Administrator will use
this application to view server queue details and manage the worker handler threads.
Intended Audience
This manual is primarily intended for the operators in Risco Group who will use the ACMS application for
monitoring and managing server activites.
Prerequisites for Use
Basic understanding of the access control systems and security systems is essential for using this manual.
Knowledge of Risco Access Control System is essential to use this manual.
Organisation of the Manual
This manual is organised as follows:
Introduction provides an overview of ACMS. It also details the hardware and software requirements, and
interfaces with other systems.
Getting Started with ACMS describes the process to log on and log off from the application.
Adding a Component describes the steps to add AMAC and RMAC components in the RSP.
Adding a Service to the Component describes the steps to add the services to be run in the components.
Show Machines illustrates the steps to view, add, edit and delete machines to be used by for components
and services.
Show Logs describes the steps to view the logs for all services in a component together in one window.
View Services describes the steps to view services, logs, queues, data and worker threads.
Glossary provides the explanation of the terms used in the user manual.
Contact provides the contact details of Risco.
