GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! When using technical equipment, you must observe the
following basic safety instructions to protect yourself from electric shock,
injury and fire. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
4.1 Workplace
Keep your workplace clean and tidy. Untidiness and unlit working areas can lead to
accidents.
WARNING: Never work with the tool in an explosive environment that contains
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Tools can create sparks that may ignite the dust or
fumes.
Keep other persons, especially children, away when using the tool. Do not allow
other persons, especially children, to touch the tool. You can lose control of the tool if
you are distracted.
Consider environmental influences.
Make sure that the workplace is well lit.
4.2 Personal safety
Be attentive, watch what you are doing and use common sense when working with a
tool. Do not use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention while using the tool may lead to serious injuries.
Wear personal safety equipment and always wear safety goggles. Wearing personal
protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, safety helm or ear
protection, depending on the type and use of the tool, reduces the risk of injuries.
Avoid accidental start-
up. Ensure that the switch is in the “OFF” position before
plugging the tool into your power source. Carrying the tool with your finger on the
switch or plugging in the tool with the switch on, may lead to accidents.
