instructions
2.1 Safety instructions
Warning! Children are often
unable to recognise dangerous
situations and are thus at risk of
injury. Please note the following:
• Never leave small children unattended
and in close proximity to hot cooking
utensils.
• Do not leave packaging or protective
film within reach of children. These
materials are not toys.
• Before every use, check the base of the
pot and the glass ceramic hob for any
residue. Even slight contamination can
leave scratches on the glass ceramic
hob.
• Do not leave oil or fat unattended!
• Do not extinguish burning oil or fat with
water, instead use a blanket or a
suitable fire extinguisher!
• Overheating can damage the hob and
cooking utensils; do not leave an empty
pot on a hot hob for an extended period
of time.
• Never add salt to cold water before
heating, this can lead to material
damage. For the same reason, we
recommend that you do not store salty
food in the pot.
Caution! The handles will become hot.
Please use oven mitts.
• Do not shock the hot lid with cold water.
• Place the hot pot on suitable table mats
to protect the table and tablecloth.
• Never use abrasive or corrosive
cleaning agents and never cut the food
directly in the pot as this may damage
the surface.
Note: The supplier is not liable for any
damage caused due to non-observance of
the care and maintenance instructions. The
right of recourse is excluded on these
grounds.
2.2 Instructions for use
• Completely remove any stickers.
• Before using the pot for the first time, boil
water with some household vinegar 2 to
3 times, then clean thoroughly with hot
water and a commercially available
washing-up liquid. Then rinse the pot
with water and dry well.
• When using the asparagus pot: Fill the
pot with water and allow the water to
boil before adding salt. Only add the
salt to hot water, stirring continuously.
Do not add salt to cold water as this
may corrode the base of the pot.
• When using the product for frying or
deep-frying:
– Butter and margarine should not be
used at temperatures greater than
160°C. Substances such as water,
salt and milk protein heat quickly and
thus also affect the flavour of your
food.
– Oils, normal fats and concentrated
butter do not contain water or
additives. They may be heated at a
maximum temperature of 220°C.
