PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
Tire Inspection
A tire inspection should be
performed before operat-
ing the motorcycle. If a tire
tread shows crosswise
lines (minimum thread
depth), if the tire has a for-
eign object, or if the side-
wall is cracked, contact a
Victory dealer and have
the tire replaced. Using a
tread depth gauge (1),
measure the tread of the
tires. You should have at
least 2/32″ (1.6 mm) of
tread.
NOTE: Most Victory motorcycles are equipped with tubeless tires
and cast wheels. The Deluxe model has laced wheels which re-
quire tubed tires.
It is dangerous to ride with a worn out tire. When a tire has
less than 1/16″ (1.6 mm) of tread, have a Victory dealer re-
place the tire immediately. Brakes, tires, and related wheel
parts replacement should be performed by a Victory Ser-
vice Technician.
Tread Depth Gauge
