Logging in to Windows
The OAP/OAPS module does not have an HMI, so you must log in from the PC to the OAP/OAPS
module by using Remote Desktop Connection through the Ethernet port on the module after the Windows
operating system is started.
After you log in to the Windows operating system, you can customize the OAP/OAPS module, just as
you do on a PC installed with Windows operating system.

Customization guidelines
Note the following guidelines when you customize the OAP/OAPS module:
•
Do not disable the Remote Desktop function.
•
Do not update the driver for the GE port on the device panel.
•
Do not change the IP address of the GE port on the device panel. If you change the IP address of
the GE port, Remote Desktop Connection will be terminated, and you have to use the new IP
address to reestablish a remote desktop connection.
•
Disable the Sleep and Standby functions for the OAP/OAPS module.
