2. To set the GPI Mode, click the Mode pull-down and choose one of the four modes: Disabled,
Simple, Image or Sequence.
•
In Disabled mode, the Event is disabled.
•
In Simple mode, the system acts as a basic remote control for the keyers. You can turn keyers
on and off without selecting which images are in the keyers. Whichever image is already in the
keyer will be keyed.
•
In Image mode, you can select an image from the Assets field for keying.
•
In Sequence mode, you can select a sequence (an image associated with an audio clip) from
the Assets field for keying.
3. If you have selected Image mode, select a specific Asset and choose it from the Asset pull-down
menu.
4. To select an action, click the Action pull-down and choose Fade or Cut.
5. To specify which keyer will key the selected image, click the Keyer pull-down and choose Key 1,
Key 2, or both.
6. To specify the state of the selected Asset, click the State pull-down and choose On, Off, or Toggle.
Toggle alternates the state between On and Off.
7. To specify the duration of the dissolve, enter a duration in frames in the Rate (fps) field.
8. The Logic pull-down menu determines how the GPI will function. Choose Neg Edge, Pos Edge, or
Level.
•
The Neg Edge Switch switches on a low-going transition to the GPI input.
•
The Pos Edge Switch switches on a high-going transition to the GPI input.
•
The Level Switch works as follows: hold it down and the key goes on, let go and the key goes
off.
The Import from other Project button can be used when a particular setup of events is used for a
regular show or event. An application for this would be when a generic setup of events is used for the
same show each week. Events would remain the same while different logos and animations could be
used.
The Clear GPI settings button clears the pull-down selections.
