Dart SBC SHP Oil Restrictors
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ALL90072
Restrictors for use in all Dart SBC SHP blocks are specifically designed for the priority main oil system to re-
duce the amount of oil flow to the top of the engine, reducing the risk of evacuating the oil pan in continu-
ous high rpm engines. Restrictors are for use with stock type, standard volume oil pump.
1. Insert restrictors in the front of the block. Use image below to identify proper location.
2. Do not apply teflon tape or thread sealer to restrictors, apply oil to threads and install until snug.
Threads may be staked to prevent loosening but is not required.
3. Starting with the long restrictor (with O-ring), apply lube to O-ring, install restrictor into lifter galley
Hole #1 as identified in diagram. Use caution not to damage O-ring. The extra O-ring included is in
case damage occurs. This extra O-ring is not intended for use on the short restrictor.
4. Install short restrictor (without O-ring) in Hole #2 as identified in image below.
5. Restrictors should be visible in lifter oil galley while looking into exhaust lifter bores but
should not protrude into lifter bores.
