SETUP button

This button is not used with this unit. It can be used with
Esoteric D/A converters (including the D-02), amplifiers and
other products.

Tray OPEN/CLOSE button (-)

Press to open and close the disc tray.

CLEAR button

Use after pressing the wrong number button, for example.

DISPLAY button

During playback and when paused, each time this button is
pressed, the information shown on the display changes (page
25).

REPEAT button

Use for repeat playback (page 21).

GROUP/TITLE buttons

Skip (.//) buttons

Use to skip to the previous or next track (page 20).
Use to change parameters when in setting mode (page 26).

This button is not used with this unit. It can be used to mute
Esoteric D/A converters (including the D-02) and amplifiers.

Notes about the remote control

Precautions when using the remote control

o

When using the remote control, point it toward the remote con-
trol signal receiver on the main unit from a distance of 7 m (23 ft)
or less. Do not place obstructions between the main unit and the
remote control.

o

The remote control might not work if the remote control signal
receiver is exposed to direct sunlight or bright light.

o

Beware that use of this remote control could cause the unin-
tentional operation of other devices that can be controlled by
infrared rays.

Installing batteries

Use a screwdriver to remove the cover from the individual remote
control, and pull the battery case out. Confirm the ¥/^ orienta-
tions and insert two AA batteries. Then, reload the battery case and
close the cover.

When to replace batteries

If the distance required between the remote and the main unit
decreases or if the unit stops responding to the remote buttons,
replace both batteries with new ones.
Dispose of the used batteries according to the instructions on them
or requirements set by your local municipality.

might result in fire, injury or the staining of nearby materials.
