HIGH ERROR RATE
Message
In PLAY and REC modes this message
appears when the error rate threatens the
sound quality. When starting playback, this
message may appear briefly if the
cassette's format is different of Stelladat II's
configuration (e.g. tape recorded at 96 kHz
on Stelladat II set at 44.1 kHz). In this case
in particular, this message is not to be take
in account. If the display persists, it can
mean that the cassette is damaged or that
Stelladat II requires some maintenance
(cleaning cassette).
HI OSC TIME ELAPSED
Alarm
For recorders outfitted with the High
Precision Oscillator only:
By Stelladat II's power on only. This alarm
warns that the oscillator's power-ing time
has been exceeded and thus that it may be
necessary to realign the time code to the
external reference generator.
HI OSC WAS OFF
Alarm
For recorders outfitted with the High
Precision Oscillator only:
Warns that the oscillator has not been
powered after Stelladat II's powering off.
LOW TEMP! HEATER ON
Message
The tape scanner heater switches auto-
matically on if Stelladat II's internal
temperature is lower than 10°C.
MACHINE TOO HOT
Inactive message
MOISTURE! HEATER ON
Message
The transport assembly is outfitted with a
humidity detector. Conden-sation can arise
e.g. in warm countries when exiting an air-
conditioned building. The tape scanner
heater is switched on automatically.
NO REC IN SUB ONLY
Message
Recording is not possible in SUBCODE
ONLY mode.
Set the recording mode to ASSEMBLE
REC.
NO SAMPLING UP/DWN
Alarm
If Stelladat II is configured for pull up / pull
down and that it's fed by an external sync
reference that doesn't require alte-ring of
the sam-ple frequency (e.g. PAL signal),
the recorder restores automati-cally the
sampling frequency to its nominal value and
informs its user by this alarm.
NO SYNC FOR REC
This alarm appears only in RECORD RUN
timecode mode and warns the user that the
last punch in couldn't be executed. The
recorder resumes then STOP mode.
