Vertical Interval Switching
Sync Input
The sync input is used to generate vertical interval switching. If no sync is available, the routing switcher
will switch at a random point rather than in the vertical interval. There are two BNC connectors labeled
“sync” located above the power supply mains and RS-485 control panel connectors on the left of the
video frame. These are “looping” inputs.
Connect either composite sync or video with sync to either sync input BNC. If you desire, use the second
BNC to “loop” the signal to another device. If you do not use a loop, terminate the second BNC with a
75-ohm termination.
The Vertical Switching Interval is also discussed in the Communication Protocol Section in this manual.
