Input card configurations
The MADI-xx may be fitted with up to two hot-swappable external audio I/O cards.
The input cards are always installed in the two lower right hand slots (as viewed from the front).
The controller card is always fitted in the top left slot and the Audio Monitor card is always fitted in
the bottom left slot.
Note: I/O cards are hot-swappable and may be freely inserted and removed whilst the unit is powered.
Changes are normally recognized immediately; however inserting analog cards may force a system reset.
This is not harmful and the inserted cards will always be recognized following a reboot.
Connector I/O
MADI I/O uses SC & coaxial BNCs, external audio uses female 37 way ‘D’ connectors and
monitoring audio outputs use 25 way 'D’ connectors. The video sync input uses a BNC connector
and all serial data connectors use 9 way ‘D’ connectors. The LAN connector is a standard RJ45
connector and video out uses a standard DVI-I Microcross connector. The
USB connector is for fast data access. A PS2 connector on the front is for a keyboard.
