Operation

Omnia 8x is the Omnia3.net processor, except it’s completely implemented in software. The only hardware, per say,
is the engine that is running multiple instances of the application. The algorithms in Omnia 8x are exactly the same
as the rack mountable hardware counterpart. The only difference is that the number of parameters to adjust is
limited. If you are familiar with Omnia.3net, then Omnia 8x is even easier to understand.

Input/Output (I/O) Considerations

One of the factors that differentiate Omnia 8x from hardware, or hard-card counterparts, is the I/O. All I/O is
handled via the Livewire

TM

interface. Depending upon the Livewire

TM

system configuration, I/O can exist in the

form of analog or digital signals through an Axia Node, or a Livewire

TM

stream from an existing IP-Audio network.

As long as Omnia 8x is properly installed and functioning, it does not care what form-factor the audio I/O is in. It
can be analog or digital via a node, or Livewire

TM

stream. It becomes a seamless function to Omnia 8x.

Starting Up

Omnia 8x can be accessed via a web browser. Point to the IP address of the Omnia 8x engine and the Home menu
page will appear.

Click on Omnia 8x Configuration to access the menu page where the processing instances are enabled. You will be
prompted for a password. The default factory login is

user

; leave the password field empty. Click <OK>.

Enable whatever number of processors that are needed by clicking the Enable box for each desired instance. Upon
clicking Apply for each instance, the processing becomes activated.
