6.1 Typical Uses of the Discover page
· See the Device IDs and Network Numbers already in use, to help choose these numbers for the
AcquiSuite.
· See warnings if the AcquiSuite detects conflicts between any Device IDs or Network Numbers on
your network.
· Verify BACnet communication between the AcquiSuite and other BACnet devices.
· Verify BACnet communication across subnets if using the BBMD or FDR features.
· Identify IP routing or firewall problems (the AcquiSuite automatically pings each BACnet device).
· Survey firmware versions of other BACnet devices on the network.
6.2 BACnet Discover
→ show: [network], [firmware], [stats]
The AcquiSuite organizes discovered information into several tabs.
6.2.1 show: [basic]
Shows "basic" properties of the device.
6.2.2 show: [network]
Shows network-level details (BACnet/IP address, network number, APDU timeouts and APDU retries).
Useful for debugging timeout errors.
