The setting for automatic high-speed syn-
chronisation occurs on the camera (see
camera operating instructions)!
The display of the flash unit then in addition
shows .
6.5 SPOTBEAM mode
In the SPOTBEAM mode, the AF measuring
beam can be used to focus on a subject at
low ambient light level without firing a flash
when the shot is taken.
There is no flash-ready indicator in
SPOTBEAM mode and no exposure control
indicator in the camera viewfinder. The came-
ra is not set to its sync speed and behaves as
though there were no flash unit connected.
SpotBeam mode is only activated when the
flash unit is switched on and is flash-ready
(check the flash-ready indicator on the flash
unit!).
When the camera shutter is released, no
flash is fired.
Please read the notes on the AF measuring
beam in chapter 10.3 AF-BEAM.

Setting the mode of operation
• Switch on the flash unit with the
ባ
button. The start screen appears.
Thereafter, the flash unit always switches
on with the mode of operation that was
used last.
• Tap the shutter release to transfer data bet-
ween the flash unit and the camera.
• Press the sensor buttons
on the
touch display and select „SPOTBEAM” .
• Press the sensor button on the touch dis-
play .
The setting will take effect immediately.
