[2] Setting the parameters in the PLII CINEMA, PLII MUSIC and PRO LOGIC modes
• When PLII CINEMA, PLII MUSIC or PRO LOGIC is selected in the 2-channel mode, more detailed parameters can also be set for the different
modes.
PLII MUSIC mode: Use the procedure described below to make the settings.
PLII CINEMA and PRO LOGIC modes: Refer to step 6 on pages 44 and 45.
• Program sources marked in parentheses and 2-channel sources (CDs, etc.) are decoded using Dolby Pro-Logic II
processing and played in the multi-channel mode.
q Cinema (PLII CINEMA) mode: This mode is suited for movies and other Dolby Surround programs.
w Music (PLII MUSIC) mode: This mode is suited for stereo music programs.
e Pro-Logic (PRO LOGIC) compatible mode: This is the conventional Dolby Surround Pro-Logic mode.

If “YES” is selected, the settings are reset to the factory
defaults.
Once the surround parameters have been set, stop operating
buttons. After several seconds the display returns to normal and
the settings are automatically validated.
This completes the setting of the parameters.
NOTES:
• The 2-channel mode setting is stored in the memory for the
individual functions.
• It is not possible to play DTS digital input sources in the Dolby
mode.
The selected setting (“ON” or “OFF”) flashes.
