Introducing the CIO-DAS1401/12
Overview: CIO-DAS1401/12 features
The CIO-DAS1401/12 provides either eight channels of single-ended or 16 channels of differential analog
input, 12-bit A/D resolution, eight digital I/O bits, and three counters.
The analog input mode, polarity, and DMA level are switch selectable. The clock frequency and edge to trigger
are jumper selectable.
Input ranges are software-selectable as either bipolar or unipolar.
Bipolar: ±10 V, ±1 V, ±0.1 V, and ±0.01 V
Unipolar: 0 to 10 V, 0 to 1 V, 0 to 0.1 V, and 0 to 0.01 V
The CIO-DAS1401/12 provides a 160 kS/s maximum sample rate.
The digital channels are TTL level. Four channels are configured as inputs, and four channels are configured as
outputs.
The CIO-DAS1401/12 is equipped with an 82C54 counter chip that contains three 16-bit counters. Two of the
counters are dedicated to A/D timing.
