6. You will get a menu box titled “Edit Controls and Function Palettes.”

7. Select new setup from the Palette Set menu and enter a new name such as “Mymenu.” in the text
box.

8. Click Save Changes.
9. Return to the diagram layer of your new VI.
10. Click on the Option button and make sure the newly created menu item is the one selected.
If not, select it at this time In the Function Browser Options and click OK.
11. Right click on a blank area within the function palette.
This will allow insertion of a sub menu.
