Instructions for Use
Description
Variolink Veneer is a micro-filled, light-curing luting composite system
for the adhesive luting of ceramic and composite restorations with
low thickness (up to 2.0 mm), e.g. veneers, inlays, onlays.
Variolink Veneer exhibits the following characteristics:
– Optimized consistency and easy removal of excess
– Very high colour stability
– High translucency
– Excellent adhesive strength
– High resistance to wear
The following Variolink Veneer shades are radiopaque (>100%
relative AI standard):
– Low Value -1
– Low Value -2
– Low Value -3
– High Value +3
As a result of their high translucency, the following Variolink Veneer
shades are not radiopaque (‹100% relative Al standard):
– Medium Value 0
– High Value +1
– High Value +2
Shades
The gradation of Variolink Veneer shades is based on the effect a
luting composite exerts on the brightness value of the final
restoration. Variolink Veneer Medium Value 0 affects the brightness
value only slightly or not at all. At the same time, it demonstrates the
highest translucency and is thus the most neutral in shade. While the
High Value pastes +1, +2, +3 let the restoration appear brighter, Low
Value -1, -2, -3 impart a "warmer" or darker character to the
restoration. In order to evaluate the overall effect of the various
shades prior to permanent cementation, the use of the Variolink
Veneer Try-In pastes is recommended.
The light-curing Variolink Veneer shades are available in the following
shade gradations:
– High Value +3
Translucency approx. 5 % Brighter /
– High Value +2 Translucency approx. 12 % more whitish
– High Value +1 Translucency approx. 24 %
– Medium Value 0 Translucency approx. 50 %
– Low Value -1 Translucency approx.14 % Darker /
– Low Value -2 Translucency approx. 9 % more yellowish
– Low Value -3 Translucency approx. 9 %
