4 – Operation
Install the consumables
To operate the Duramax LT torch, first verify:
1. The power switch is in the OFF (O) position.
2. A complete set of consumables is installed as shown in Figure 5.
3. You use only the shield (420116) with the general-purpose (standard) nozzle (420118).
To understand the differences between the general-purpose and FineCut consumables,
and for guidelines on selecting the right set for your cutting applications, see
WARNING!
INSTANT-ON TORCHES
PLASMA ARC CAN CAUSE INJURY AND BURNS
The plasma arc ignites immediately when you press the torch trigger. Make
sure the power is OFF before changing consumables.
