3.3.7.1 High pressure stuffing box
This type of packing box is fitted on to an open lineshaft for pressures up to 20 bar (300 psi) uses six rings of
packing with one seal cage and allows grease lubrication.

Mechanical shaft seal
APKD’s can also be fitted with a mechanical seal.
The requirement to fit the mechanical seal to be
provided at the time of contract.
3.3.9 Accessories
Accessories may be fitted when specified by the
customer.
3.4 Performance and operation limits
This product has been selected to meet the
specifications of the purchase order. See section 1.5.

information to help with the installation. It is typical
and factors such as temperature, materials and seal
type may influence this data. If required, a definitive
statement for your particular application can be
