When “1 Disc Languages” is Selected

Use the • and ª cursor buttons to select the desired setting, then press
the SELECT button.
1. Audio
Use this to set the language of the sound output from the speakers.
2. Subtitle
Use this to set the language of the subtitles displayed on the TV.
3. Menus
Use this to set the language of the title menus (menus recorded on the
disc), etc.
Use the • and ª cursor buttons to select the desired setting, then press
the SELECT button.
q When “1 Audio” is selected:
1. English (Factory default)
Select this to play the sound in English.
2. French
Select this to play the sound in French.
3. Spanish
Select this to play the sound in Spanish.
4. Original
Select this to play the disc’s original sound.
5. Other * * * *
Select this to play the disc with a language other than the ones above.
Use the number buttons to input the 4-digit language number shown on
page 60.
w When “2 Subtitle” is selected:
1. Automatic (Factory default)
The subtitle language is automatically set to the same language as the
audio language.
• When the disc is played with the audio language set for the “1
Audio” setting, the subtitles are not displayed.
• When the disc is played with an audio language other than the one
set for the “1 Audio” setting, the subtitles are displayed in the
language set for the “1 Audio” setting.
2. English
Select this to play the disc with English subtitles.
3. French
Select this to play the disc with French subtitles.
4. Spanish
Select this to play the disc with Spanish subtitles.
5. Other * * * *
Select this to play the disc with subtitles in a language other than the
ones above. Use the number buttons to input the 4-digit language
number shown on page 60.
