REAR PANEL CONNECTIONS
R1, RF OUTPUT
--- This type "F" connector is the high level (+45 to +61 dBmV), 54 to 1002 MHz, output from the EH24A
RF output section.
R2, VIDEO 1 & 2
- These two RCA type connectors color coded yellow provide two separate video inputs to the
SDE24/SDE24A Encoder.
R3, AUDIO 1 & 2
- These four color coded RCA type connectors provide audio Left (white) and Right (red) inputs
to the SDE24/SDE24A Encoder.
R4,
This is space available for additional SDE24/SDE24A Encoders which may be installed in the EH24A Encoder Host.
R5, ASI OUTPUT
- This BNC type connector provides ASI output of the multiplexed transport streams from selected
encoders.
R6,
Cooling Air Vents
R7, Ethernet Port
- Connection to a PC or modem for use with remote control / monitoring program or for firmware
upload.
R8, AC Line Cord Socket
--- For connection to the mains AC power source. The removable line cord allows for operation
in various countries. Use an appropriate cord for your needs that has been recognized by a certified safety agency. This unit
is usually supplied with a cord for USA operation on 120 VAC.
The power supply automatically accepts a mains supply from 90 to 264 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz. Power consumption will vary
depending on the number of modules installed but worst case consumption is 70 W.
R9, EAS
- This terminal is used to supply the EH24A with a contact closure when the EAS is activated, as determined by
an external EAS controller/receiver. The external EAS controller will supply a contact closure output for connection to the
EH24A EAS and GND terminals. Grounding the EAS screw terminal, through the contact closure in the controller, will signal
the EH24A that an EAS event has occurred. If EAS has been programmed and the EAS encoder installed, the EH24A will
respond appropriately.
