Installing the Impeller Outlet Duct and 28" Hose with Cuff
Tools Needed:

1/2" Wrench
4. Place the Impeller Outlet Duct over the Impeller Housing (Figure 14). The
Duct goes on tightly and may be easier to install by starting at one corner
5. Install four Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers hand tight to secure the
Impeller Outlet Duct to the Impeller Housing.
6. Screw the Hose end of the 28" Hose with Cuff counter clockwise into the
Top Cover Hole until the Hose connects easily to the Outlet Duct, but does
not rest on the corner of the Collector.
7. Loop the Lanyard over the Hose Cuff, slide the Cuff end of the Hose over the
Impeller Outlet Duct and secure by tightening the Thumb Screw of the Hose
Cuff Clamp.
8. Tighten the Hardware that attached the Outlet Duct to the Impeller Housing
with two 1/2" Wrenches.

Hitch Plate Kit Installation (optional)
The DR Leaf and Lawn Vacuum requires a Pin Hitch hole on your Lawn Tractor.
DR Power Equipment offers several different Hitch Plate Kits if the existing
Hitch on your Tractor is not sufficient (Figure 15). Contact us at

(376-9637) and they will be happy to assist you.

 Two 1/2" Wrenches

Drill with 3/8" Bit


NOTE: Optional Accessories: Due the variety of Lawn Tractors, the Hoses supplied
may not fit all tractors. Our Technical Service Dept. can help you adapt
your machine.
 A Universal Deck Adapter is available for you to fit to your machine if
the tractor manufacturer’s Lawn Deck Adapter is not available.
 A Hose Support Kit is available to attach to the DR Power Equipment
Hitch Kit. This will enable you to support a longer Hose if needed.

Support Kit.
1. Install your Lawn Deck Adapter (Figure 16) onto your Lawn Tractor (Lawn
Deck Adapter available from the manufacturer of your lawn tractor or from
DR Power Equipment).
2. We have supplied both a 7" to 6" and 8" to 6" diameter Hose Adapter.
Determine which best fits your Lawn Deck Adapter. Slip the Hose Adapter
over the end of your Lawn Deck Adapter, until they make contact.
