Extra Hose Kit# 35162
These instructions are for installation of the Extra Hose Kit. This Extra Hose Kit is needed if the Hose provided with the Leaf and
Lawn Vacuum is not long enough for your mower. Please keep these instructions with your Safety and Operating Instructions
manual for future reference.
Tools needed:

5/16" Wrench or Flat Head Screwdriver
 Wire Cutters

Knife
Note: Your Leaf and Lawn Vacuum must be attached to the mower and turned
fully to the left to perform this Kit installation (Figure 1).
1. Loosen the Cuff from the Impeller Housing Hose using a 5/16" Wrench or
Flat Head Screwdriver (Figure 2).
2. Place the Cuff onto the end of the Deck Adapter.
3. Loosen the Hose Clamp on the Coupling and insert the Extra Hose Kit
Coupling into the end of the Impeller Hose (Figure 3).
4. Make sure the Hose Clamp and Hose end are beyond the Rivet in the end of
the Coupling and tighten the Clamp with a 5/16" Wrench or Flat Head
Screwdriver very tightly.
5. Position the end of the Extra Hose next to the Cuff on the Deck Adapter
(Figure 4).
6. Mark the Hose Rib that lines up just beyond the Rib in the Cuff.

Before performing this kit installation, stop the engine, wait five minutes to
allow all parts to cool. Disconnect the spark plug wire, keeping it away from
the spark plug. Disconnect the Battery Terminals (Electric start only).
