15.9 R ESET THE O RGANIZER
Caution! Perform a Reset operation ONLY if ALL these conditions are true:
• The organizer's batteries are dead.
• All data and stored programs are lost.
• The batteries have been replaced.
To reset the organizer, follow these steps:
1. Install new batteries.
2. Hold down the power button on the front of the organizer.
3. While holding down the power button, use the reset tip tool, or the tip of an unfolded paper
clip (or similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the reset button.
4. Wait for the Palm
™
logo to appear; then release the power button.
5. When a message appears on the screen warning that you are about to erase all the data stored
on your handheld, press the upper scroll button on the front of the organizer.
