Chapter 3. TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter provides detailed information on how to use the program to troubleshoot
communication link problems.
3.1 Verifying Physical Connections
Before the program’s capabilities can be used to help solve communication link
problems, it is imperative that all physical connections are verified between the host
computer and RFT.
Refer to the respective remote control specification for details regarding the RSU or RFT
inter-connections.
Note: Many host computers provide multiple communication ports. When starting the
program, be sure to correctly identify the port number.
3.2 Using the ACQUIRE COMM Feature
After the integrity of all physical connections has been verified, the program’s “Acquire
Comm” feature can be used.
1. Select the Comm/Util Screen by pressing [F3].
2. Press

] or [
↓
] to move the cursor to the “Acquire Comm” command parameter.
3. Either press the space bar to change the parameter from NO to YES, or type in
YES and press [ENTER].
