4. Remove oil filter cover

5. Remove oil filter

6. Replace oil filter with new filter.

7. Reinstall oil filter and oil filter cover.

8. Tighten drain plug and oil filter cap to specified torque.

9. Fill crankcase with specified oil. Refer to Pg. 9 for correct oil.

WARNING

New and used oil could be hazardous.

Children and pets may be harmed by swallowing new or used oil.

Continuous contact with used oil can cause skin cancer in laboratory

animals. Brief contact with the used oil may irritate the skin.

Keep new and used oil away from children and pets. To minimize

your exposure to used oil, wear a long-sleeve shirt and moisture-

proof gloves (such as dish washing gloves) when changing oil. If oil

contacts your skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Launder any

clothing or rags if wet with oil. Recycle or properly dispose of used oil.

CAUTION
Failure to use the correct oil could harm your ATV.
Be sure to use the oil specified in the FUEL AND OIL RECOMMENDATION

section.

CAUTION
Running the engine without an adequate amount of engine oil could

cause severe engine damage.
Running the engine without any engine oil could cause engine

overheating.
Always check the amount of engine oil before starting the engine.
