Thick Facing with Fireplace Xtrordinair (FPX) Arched Faces
The following illustration shows facing considerations for those fireplaces utilizing FPX arched faces.
The facing must be non-combustible and over 1" (25mm) in depth.

Before installing the masonry,
install the FPX FaceUpgrade Kit
(98500683). This kit covers the
upper corners.

for masonry installation (sku
98500674). The template helps
locate and support the masonry as it
is installed.
Floor-Mounted Fireplaces or Raised Hearths:
Build the hearth above the fireplace to a maximum
of 1” (25mm). The fireplace may be raised to
accommodate thicker hearth materials.
Raised Fireplaces:
Install the masonry above the base
of the fireplace to a maximum of 1” (25mm).
