While average noise levels are being displayed, press the
key to show the currently used threshold level on the main dis-
play.

If necessary, press the
key again (several times) until the
required threshold level is displayed.
A series of up to five different levels is available for use in the
calculation (70 dB, 75 dB, 80 dB, 85 dB,and 90 dB).

Press the
key again to return to the parameter that was
being inspected to see the result of the calculation using the in-
dicated threshold level.
11.
While Fast or Slow maximum noise levels are being displayed,
press the
key to to display the time at which the maxi-
mum level occurred.
12.
Press the
key again to display the date at which the maxi-
mum level occurred.
13.
Press the
key twice (or once) to return to the previously
indicated maximum noise level.
5.2
Noise Dose
The CEL-281 can operate as a Noise Dosimeter according to ANSI S1.25
1978, and as a Personal Sound Exposure Meter according to IEC 1252:
1993 & BS 6402: 1994. It calculates both percent dose and projected
percent dose values based on a standardised eight hour working day.
