3 Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit password. The
default password is 0000. The Lock menu opens.
4 Press or to select System Lock, then press or to select
On or Off.
5 Press EXIT to close the menu.
Setting parental controls
You can set parental controls for the U.S. and Canada. The following task
shows how to set controls for U.S. TV ratings. You use similar steps for
controlling U.S. movie and Canadian TV ratings.
To set parental controls:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to select Lock, then press . The Enter Password
screen opens.
3 Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit password. The
default password is 0000. The Lock menu opens.
4 Press or to select US, then press or ENTER. The U.S.
ratings menu opens.
Note: Select Canada to set Canadian TV controls.
5 Press or to highlight TV, then press or ENTER. The U.S.
TV RATING screen opens.
6 Press or to select the rating you want to block, then
press ENTER. A lock symbol appears when a rating is blocked.
7 Press EXIT to close the menu.
