Repeat steps A, B, C, and D on other side.

NARROW CULTIVATING

The two outer tines can be removed for a nar

rower tilling or cultivating width of 6 inches.

To do this, simply remove the outer tines (see

previous instructions). Then place a tine spacer

(included with your machine) over the tine shaft.

Secure the spacer in place with the hair pin cot

STORAGE

A

WARNING

Never store the tiller when there is gasoline

in the fuel tank.

Never place the tiller near any source of

sparks or open flame (such as a hot water

heater, space heater or clothes dryer).

Failure to comply can lead to serious per

sonal injury or property damage.

To prepare your tiller for extended storage;

1. Drain the entire fuel tank of gasoline/two-cycle

engine oil.

2. Start the engine and run it until the engine

stops for lack of fuel.

3. Allow the engine to cool. Then clean any dirt

and debris from the engine cooling fins, linkage

and other engine surfaces.

4. Remove the spark plug. Pour a few drops of

two-cycle engine oil into the spark plug hole.

Pull the starter rope out several times. This will

distribute oil over the cylinder walls.

5. Reinstall the spark plug.

6. Cover the engine and store this equipment in

a dry, sheltered location.

7. Remove the tines, and clean all soil and de

bris away from the dust covers and the tine

shaft. Lubricate the tine shaft.
