SETTING UP YOUR MACHINE
1. You'll find Ih e spool pin on Ihe top
covef. Tilt up the spool pin. Place the
spool OÍ thread on the pm with Ihe
thread commg off the back of ihe
spool as shown.

Plug

receptacle. Then connect cord into
any 110 - 120 voU A.C. wall outlat.
3. Your Kenmore sewing machine has
been thofoughiy oiled at Ihe factory.
Be sure to wipe off the needle plate
area, bed plate and shuttle carefully
before sewing a garment. It is wise to
practice on a scrap of fabric so any
surplus

is absorbed.
STITCH SELECTOR
There are certain types of stitches that are used more often than others in your garment
constfucUon. Because of thesr frequent use. you will soon realise the convenience offered
to you by this control.
The desired stitch will be obtained by lurmng the Stitch Selector Dial untH the stitch is
indicated by the red on the mdicator panel.
