Measuring differential pressure
A differential pressure between two pressure transducers can be deter-
mined and indicated either between two gauge heads VSK 3000 con-
nected to the CVC 3000 E or between the internal pressure transducer of
the CVC 3000 E and a gauge head VSK 3000 connected to the control-
ler. Vacuum control to the differential pressure is possible (e.g., vacuum
control in relation to the atmospheric pressure).
Differential pressure between two gauge heads VSK 3000:
+
This requires one of the two gauge heads to be defined as reference
(e.g., VACUU•BUS address ”Ref. 1”).
+
Additionally, both gauge heads have to be configured to correspond-
ing VACUU•BUS addresses (VSK x and Ref. x). If the two addresses
do not correspond (VSK x and Ref. y), no differential pressure will be
determined or displayed.
➨
The displayed pressure value is: (”pressure value of Ref. x” minus
”pressure value of VSK x”) Torr (mbar).
➨
In case of negative differential pressures the pressure reading flashes.
+
In case a VSK 3000 pressure transducer (VSK x) as well as a corre-
sponding pressure transducer defined as reference (”Ref. x”) are con-
nected to the controller, the ”Vac control function” automatically controls
to the differential pressure - as long as the pressure transducer VSK x
is selected from the ”Sensors” submenu as active pressure transducer.
Differential pressure between the internal pressure transducer and
a connected gauge head VSK 3000:
+
This requires the external gauge head to be defined as reference
(VACUU•BUS address ”Ref. 1”) and no gauge head VSK 1 to be con-
nected.
➨
The displayed pressure value is: (”pressure value of Ref. 1” minus
”pressure value of Sensor”) Torr (mbar).
➨
In case of negative differential pressures the pressure reading flashes.
+
In case a connected VSK 3000 gauge head is defined as reference
(i.e., ”Ref. 1”), the ”Vac control function” automatically controls to the
differential pressure.
