4 Existing System Check
The pre-install checklist is necessary to check the existing sprayer functionality and settings
before the installation.
1. Inspect boom suspension wear-pads for excessive wear and ensure the boom rotates freely.
2. Ensure the boom suspension is configured as a short-pendulum (hilly mode). Insert the
boom pin to constrain the long-pendulum suspension as shown in Figure 5.

3. This UC4.5-BC-RA1 kit is designed to control the Kverneland variable-geometry boom.
This requires that the boom is fitted with variable-geometry tilt cylinders. If this install
requires adding tilt cylinders; adjust the cylinders so they can drop the wings below
horizontal while still offering enough vertical lift to lift the wings into transport position.
For optimal performance, install the extended tilt cylinder forks (Figure 6) to allow the
variable geometry to be adjusted below horizontal. Ensure the Kverneland cabin controls
are enabled for controlling variable geometry
