REMOTE CONTROL

- The buttons on the remote control have the same functions

as the corresponding ones on the changer;

- The life of the batteries of the remote control is around one

year. For replacement only use batteries of the type R03,

UM4 or AAA.

IMPORTANT!

When the changer is incorporated in a HiFi system with ESI

BUS connection, the IR SENSOR OFF ON switch (3) on the
back of the changer should

always

be in the

OFF

position.

The changer can then be operated with the remote control

of the system.

When the changer is

not

incorporated in a HiFi system with

ESI BUS connection, the switch should be in the

ON

position.

The changer can then be operated with the remote control
supplied.
When switching the IR SENSOR on and off, the CD changer
should always be

switched off.

DISPLAY

SHUFFLE - Lights up when the tracks are played in random order.
(((O - Lights up when the changer receives a command from
the remote control (IR SENSOR ON).

PROGRAM

- Flashes when a programme is being compiled.

- Lights up when a programme is being played.

REPEAT

DISC - Lights up when you repeat a CD.

REPEAT - Lights up when you repeat all CDs or a programme

from them.

1-5 CD number indicator

- Flashes when you switch the changer on.
- Indicates the number of CDs in the CD compartment.
- Indicates what CD is being played.
TRACK - Indicates:
- what track is being played;
- the number of tracks on a CD or in a programme.
TRACK TIME - Indicates the elapsed playing time of the track

being played.
REM(aining) TRACK TIME - Indicates the remaining playing
time of the track being played.

TOTAL REM(aining) TIME - Indicates the remaining playing

time of a CD.

TOTAL TIME - Indicates the total playing time of a CD.

AUTOSPACE - Lights up when an extra pause is inserted
between the different tracks in the EDIT and CD DUBBING
mode.
PAUSE - Lights up when play is interrupted.
EDIT - Lights up when the player is put into the EDIT mode.

TIMER EDIT - Lights up when the changer is put into the
TIMER EDIT mode.

1-15 track number indicator - Shows the number of tracks

on a CD.
+15 - Lights up when there are more than 15 tracks on a CD.

Lights up when there are no CDs in the

CD compartment.

Err-

Lights up when you make a mistake while operating the

changer.

—-------- Flashes when a CD's contents list is being

scanned.

• Press POWER STANDBY/OFF to switch the changer on.

- The changer will now start CD detection to check how many

CDs there are in the CD compartment. The turntable will
rotate slowly until all positions in the CD compartment have
been checked. After CD detection the display will show the
number of CDs in the CD compartment

Open the CD compartment by pressing OPEN/CLOSE.

- OPEN lights up.

• Insert the CDs,

printed side up:

use the LOAD button to

rotate the turntable in the CD compartment.

• Close the compartment by pressing OPEF'J/CLOSE.

- CLOSE lights up. The changer will start CD detection again,

after which the display will show the number of CDs m the
CD compartment

NOTE!

-

Use the PREFERRED POSITION in the CD compartment

if you wish to play only one CD and then start play by
pressing the QUICK PLAY button. Play will then start
immediately with the inserted CD.

- CD detection may never be interrupted. If, during

detection, you press any button, then the changer will
stop detection and the display will give an incorrect

indication of the number of CDs in the CD compartment

Always

remove all CDs from the CD compartment if you

want to transport the changer.

PLAYBACK

(PLAY/REPLAY)

• Press PLAY/REPLAY.

----- — — flashes and play starts from the CD with the

lowest number.

- The CD number indicator (1-5) always shows what CD is

being played (► X) and the track number indicator (1-15)
shows how many tracks are on the CD; when a track has
been played, its number disappears.

- The track being played is always shown under TRACK, and

its elapsed playing time is shown under TRACK TIME.

- Play will stop after the last CD.

• Press POWER STANDBY/OFF to switch the player off.

NOTE!

-

You can also press PLAY/REPLAY immediately after in­

serting the CDs; the compartment then closes automatically

- You can interrupt playback by pressing PAUSE; PAUSE

then lights up. Press PLAY/REPLAY to restart; if you first

press PAUSE again and then PLAY/REPLAY, the current
track will start again from the beginning.

- If you press PLAY/REPLAY during play, the current track

will start again from the beginning.

- You can stop playback by pressing STOP/CP.

- If you press OPEN/CLOSE during play, the CD compartment

will open while play continues. The three CDs outside the
changer may now be changed without playback being

interrupted.
