USE OF FABRIC
SOFTENER SHEETS
Over-use of fabric softener can
cause buildup of softener in laundry
items, giving them a greasy feeling.
Buildup can also form on lint screen
and restrict air flow. Softener
buildup on lint screen can be remov
ed by washing it in warm, soapy
water. Buildup in clothing can be
removed by
o Reconditioning load with water
conditioner, (Follow package in
structions.)

» Laundering several times without
fabric softener.

Fluorocarbon aero
sol and pump spray fabric softeners
are not to be used in this dryer.
Damage resulting from use of this
type of softener can be considered
as misuse of dryer. Failure to follow
this warning can cause serious per
sonal injury. Use of fabric softener
sheets is preferred.
SAFETY DOOR
SWITCH
The safety door switch automati
cally stops dryer when door is
opened. If door is opened during a
cycle, close door, touch START,
and cycle will resume.
AUTOMATIC MOTOR
PROTECTOR
The automatic motor protector
stops motor when it is overheated
due to overload. It resets automati
cally after motor cools for approxi
mately 30 minutes. Touch START
to resume cycle.

HI-LIMIT SWITCH
The automatic temperature hi-limit
switch shuts off heat in event of
overheating.

SOLVING LAUNDRY PROBLEMS
MOST LAUNDRY PROBLEMS CAN BE CORRECTED BY
® Reading and following care labels.
» Using recommended amounts of detergent and oilier laundry aids.
» Diluting powder detergent with warm w'ater before adding it to w'ash tub
or using a liquid detergent.
• Using a non-precipitating water softener or conditioner when water
supply is hard.
• Sorting articles according to color, fabric type, construction, soil, and
• Loading wash tub no higher than top row of holes,
• Using water level sufficient to cover load.
• Using hottest water safe for fabric.'
• Cleaning lint screen before or after each load.
• Drying one wash load at a time. Loads which are too large or small may
not dry evenly,
• Combining large and small items in the same load for better tumbling.
• Removing items when they are dry to avoid overdrying.
